Avocado Smoothie Bowl

Avocados, high in fat and calories! However it’s not to be shunned, research has shown that monounsaturated fatty acids found in fruits such as avocados are more likely to be used as slow burning energy than stored as body fat, avocados are also great for repairing aging damages to the skin.

When it comes to avocados it is best to consume them ripe. This generally means buying them hard and waiting for them to ripen naturally at room temperature. Storing them in the refrigerator is not advised unless ripe, kept in temperature too cold avocados will not ripen you’ll find them turn rancid and brown instead.

1 avocado.
1/2 a mango.
1 1/4 cups chilled herbal tea/milk or nut milk of choice (300ml).
sprinkle of cinnamon.
sprinkle of ginger.
1/2 cup milk or nut milk of choice.
1 teaspoon honey.
Place all ingredients into the blender, start at the lowest speed until a puree forms, turn the blender on high for last remaining seconds. The blending should take about 30 seconds, try not to over do it. Recipe serves as two portions, you can choose to share, freeze, or keep a portion as a booster for later in the day.
